"We contacted this agency to possibly switch from another local State Farm location.. I spoke to Daniela and she somewhat answered our inquires and I advised her we might switch, however no confirmation.. Within one hour, we received an email from our current agent advising they had received a call from Daniela that we were switching agents to this location?? We NEVER advised Daniela that we we’re switching to this agent.. I then called Daniela and while I am confident she answered, the person told me their name was Anna and Daniela was on another line.. So I held the line waiting for Daniela and when she did not respond, I called from another phone and Daniela answered!! I advised her since we had not confirmed a transfer to this agent, it was not her responsibility to call our current agent. I had not provided names, policies or any details to her, so obviously she used my phone number to connect my name to find our current agent??… Daniela, please do not anticipate or communicate a transfer until the customer takes action… Once a customer chooses to change agents, automatic notification is provided to both agents… We chose another State Farm agent based upon this interaction… UPDATE: In response to the owner’s comments: I never stated we were a current customer of your agency, however were looking to “possibly” transfer from another local SF agent,…was simply inquiring when I reached out to your location and spoke to Daniela.. My message was very clear… And reviews are not posted or approved for current customers, only, but for anyone that has connected and communicated with your agency… Daniela did not advise me that communication with the current agent would occur. You may want to train her properly for future inquiries… We have been with State Farm for many years and have moved agents previously, however this type of communication before the customer makes a final decision and conducts the change has NEVER occurred.. I did not indicate in my review you were attempting to take a Client from our current agent., however if we had decided not to change, could have caused a problem with them..I was only exploring other agents in the area, no final decision had been made. Based upon your response and the interaction with Daniela, I believe we made a good decision not to choose your agency and look forward to the new agent selected."

At our office, we always follow State Farm’s proper procedures when it comes to transfers. When someone expresses interest in switching, we reach out to their current agent only to give them the opportunity to retain or release the account, as a professional courtesy. We never try to take clients from another agent, and we always respect a customer’s right to choose their preferred State Farm agent. Our goal is to ensure clear communication and a smooth process for everyone involved. We’re sorry for any misunderstanding and appreciate the chance to clarify how we operate. "
